You Can Help
Change a Person's Life
Our volunteers can change a person's life with just three hours of their time.
Volunteers who work in the clothing closet sort and size all of our clothing donations.
They also help clients choose clothing suitable for their needs.
Volunteers in the food pantry receive and sort food donations. They assemble food
packages to be given to our clients and their families.
Interviewers talk directly with the clients and assess their needs. They will conduct an
interview with the client to understand their crisis and help communicate their needs
to our lead interviewer who decides how we can help.
Receptionists greet the clients as they enter Sunnyside. They conduct the intake of
clients and answer the phone.
Volunteers who do data entry enter all of our client files into our computer system.
Doctors who volunteer at our free health clinic volunteer their time
evaluating patients in the community.
