Sunnyside has been successful due to its many, faithful volunteers. We
are always looking for new people to help Sunnyside with its daily
mission to serve others. |
You Can Help Change a Person's Life
Our volunteers can change a person's life with just two hours of their
time.
Volunteers who work in the clothing closet sort and size our
clothing donations. They also help clients choose clothing and household
items suitable for
their needs.
Volunteers in the food pantry receive and sort food donations.
They assemble food packages to be given to our clients and their
families.
Interviewers talk directly with the clients and assess their
needs. They will conduct an interview with clients to understand
their crisis. This information is taken to our lead interviewer
who decides how we can help.
Data entry
volunteers assist with administrative duties.
Receptionists greet the clients as they enter Sunnyside. They
conduct the intake of clients, answer the phone, and complete filing as
necessary.
Spanish interpreters
translate for the clients during interviews
and assist them with shopping in the clothing closet.
Doctors who volunteer at our free health clinic
give
their time to evaluate and treat
patients in the community.
Our free clinic also needs intake volunteers who assist by
completing preliminary paperwork for patients.
